Daylight Savings Time in Belize

Belize is one of a minority of countries/states/provinces that does not observe Daylight Savings Time.

At all times, Belize has the same time as Central Standard Time.

Belize did observe DST at one time, but decided in 1983 that it wasn’t working for Belizeans, and since then it has reverted to Standard Time.

Here is a great interactive site to visually check what time it is someplace else in the world. It also notes Daylight Savings Time at that point. Use this page any time you want to find out what time it is anywhere else in the world.

On this interactive map, you can also track the phases of the moon, find out what happened on this date in history, and get a weather report for selected large cities anywhere in the world. As they suggest: “Hover your mouse over any of the red dots to see the name of the city and country and current local time. “DST” is displayed if there is Daylight Saving Time at the moment.”

You can even create and print out a calendar with that country’s important holidays on it. For instance, with a click of the mouse, you could make yourself a Timbuktu calendar with all Timbuktu’s important holidays on it, and you’d know exactly when to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr!
(FYI, Timbuktu is in Mali):

I’m not sure why you’d want to DO that, but it is fun to play with.
